What happens to my clinic data if I cancel Vaidya OS?

Your patient data belongs to your clinic, not to the software company. Here is what that means in practice.

Exporting your data

From inside Vaidya OS you can download your patient list as an Excel file. Each row is one patient, with:

• Name, age, gender, phone and email.
• Condition and outcome.
• Last visit and follow-up date.
• Current medicines and remarks.

Export before you cancel, and keep a copy somewhere safe.

If your plan lapses

Your records are not deleted. Automation such as WhatsApp reminders pauses, and you can pick a plan again at any time to carry on where you left off.

If you want your data deleted

Ask us, and we will delete your clinic's data. See the privacy policy for details.

Before you leave: a checklist

1. Export your patient list to Excel from inside Vaidya OS.
2. Open the file and check that the patients you expect are there.
3. Save a copy somewhere safe, away from the clinic computer.
4. If you want your clinic's data deleted, ask us.

Your patients' rights under the DPDP Act

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 gives patients the right to ask for their personal data to be corrected or erased. The clinic decides how patient data is used, so requests like these come to the clinic.

What to ask any software vendor

• Can I export my patient data myself, at any time, without paying?
• What exactly does the export include?
• What happens to my data if I stop paying?
• Will you delete it if I ask?
