Paediatric clinics are busy, parent-driven and full of follow-ups. Here is what Vaidya OS covers, and what it does not.
What works for a paediatric clinic
- Siblings on one phone. Several children can share a parent's phone number and still have their own records. At check-in, the parent picks which child is being seen.
- Follow-up reminders to parents. Set a follow-up date and, on a paid plan, the parent gets a WhatsApp reminder the day before and on the morning of the date.
- A paediatric intake form. A ready-made intake preset includes vaccination status, and you can add your own questions.
- Prescriptions as a PDF, with saved medicine lists for the prescriptions you write most.
- QR check-in with a token queue, which helps with a waiting room full of parents.
What is not built in
- An IAP vaccination schedule or automatic vaccine due dates.
- Growth charts.
- Weight-based dose calculation.
A workaround many clinics use: set the next vaccine visit as the follow-up date, so the parent is reminded the day before.
Why reminders matter in paediatrics
Parents juggling work and school forget the next vaccine or the review after an illness. A reminder the day before gives them time to plan the visit or move it.
